Fiat brand records the lowest C02 emissions rating in Europe for fourth straight year

For the fourth straight year, Fiat brand automobiles has recorded the lowest level of carbon dioxide emissions (C02) for vehicles sold in Europe.

The automaker had an average measurement of 123.1 grams of C02 per kilometer – a drop of 4.7 (g/km) from the previous year.

Fiat Automobile Group also ranked first with a rating of 125.9 g/km.

Over the past four years, Fiat brand automobiles has reduced its C02 emissions an average of 10 percent from 137.3 to 123.1 – a full four years ahead of the European Union target set for 130 g/km by 2015.

Recent technologies introduced by Fiat include the TwinAir engine, the world##Q##s most “ecological” turbo; alternate fuels including liquid propane gas (LPG); and eco:Drive, an innovative technology that encourages driving that is more responsible and eco-compatible.

In the United States, the new Fiat 500 marks the introduction of Fiat Multiair fuel delivery system to North America.

Standard on the 1.4-liter engine in the Fiat 500, Multiair increase fuel economy by up to 10 percent and reduces emissions by 10 percent without any loss in power.

5-liter supercharged V8 engine and will reach 60 mph in 4.0 seconds, and a top speed of 186 mph (electronically limited)2. The F-TYPE S Coupe and F-TYPE Coupe are powered by 3-liter supercharged V6 engines in 380hp and 340hp forms respectively, giving 0-60 mph in 4.8/5.1 seconds and top speeds of 171/161 mph2.

The F-TYPE Coupe visual message is defined by three key ‘heart lines’, that visual message beginning with the formidable grille.
