Audi continues growth path in November

AUDI AG has delivered around 132,050 cars to customers worldwide in November, 6.8 percent more than a year ago. Especially in China (+17.9 percent), the UK (+13.6 percent) and the U.S. (+13.0 percent), the premium manufacturer posted significant growth last month.

In the first eleven months of the year, Audi delivered around 1,444,750 cars worldwide, representing an increase of 7.4 percent. During this period, the brand registered double-digit growth rates in each of the sales regions Asia-Pacific (+19.4 percent) and the Americas (+12.0 percent).

Recently supplemented by the sedan variant, the A3 family continued to show significant growth in November with a 40.7 percent increase. At the upper end of the model portfolio, the A8, whose new generation was just launched, gained 10.2 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, in particular the Q3 (+57.1 percent) and Q5 (+14.2 percent) have strengthened Audi’s global business. From 2016 on, the Q1 compact SUV model will further expand the successful Audi Q family.

In China, the Q3 contributed significantly to the sales growth in November. Sales of the brand with the four rings climbed by 17.9 percent last month to 44,334 units.

Thus, 443,664 customers have received the keys to their Audi since January. With this growth of 19.7 percent in China, Audi has significantly exceeded last year’s sales result (2012: 405,838 cars) after eleven months. Particularly the locally produced models A4 L (+18.2 percent) and A6 L (+14.3 percent) continue to be extremely popular with customers.

After eleven months, Audi has its sights set on the sales target of 150,000 deliveries in the U.S. – since January, 141,048 customers in the United States chose a model with the four rings (+13.3 percent). Especially the Q5 fostered this growth, in-creasing year-on-year sales by more than 10,000 units. In November, sales climbed by 13.0 percent across all models to 13,636 units.

Despite the continued challenging economic situation in many markets, the brand completed the month of November with a sales increase of 6.5 percent in the European export markets. Primarily in the UK, Audi continued its strong per-formance also at the end of the year: 9,292 deliveries equate to an increase of 13.6 percent.

In Italy, sales rose by 12.0 percent, and also in Russia, sales climbed significantly, up 18.4 percent. However, business declined last month in Germany (-13.4 percent) as well as in France (-7.2 percent) and Spain (-4.7 percent). Al-together, Audi completed the month of November in Europe slightly below the previous year (-1.6 percent).

The F-TYPE Coupe visual message is defined by three key ‘heart lines’, that visual message beginning with the formidable grille.
