The team behind Mobil 1, the world’s leading synthetic motor oil brand, has drawn on its expertise from diverse motorsports series to develop the free-to-join game. It was launched to coincide with the new series of āMobil 1 The Gridā ā the weekly motorsports television programme.
The Mobil 1 Global Challenge is made up of four different race series to progress through: Rookie, Amateur, Pro and All Star.
It also contains a celebrity league for players to pit their skills against the worldās motorsports heroes. From the Egypt Sahara – Off Road Challenge, to the Russia Tundra – Ice Drift Challenge among others. the game features tracks from across four continents to illustrate the extremes of performance required of both driver and engine technology in some of the most demanding racing conditions.
The overall winner will be the person ranked number one in the world by the end of September 2010, coinciding with the season finale of āMobil 1 The Gridā.

The Mobil 1 Global Challenge builds on the success of Mobil 1ās Will You Be The 1 game from 2009, which saw 62,000 racing fans from 26 countries competing to set the fastest lap time on Lewis Hamiltonās Mobil 1 Supercircuit. It was won by Christian Kesteloo in the Netherlands with an amazing 14,254 points!
