2023 Toyota Supra GR Launches with Improved Powertrain and Handling Features

Toyota has officially unveiled the 2023 Supra GR, the latest iteration of its iconic sports car. The new model boasts a range of updates and improvements, including a more powerful engine, refined handling, and advanced driver assistance features.

Under the hood, the 2023 Supra GR features a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, producing up to 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. This is a significant improvement over the previous model, which offered 335 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. The new engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which features revised shift logic and improved response times.

In addition to the powertrain upgrades, the 2023 Supra GR features a number of handling improvements. The chassis has been stiffened and reinforced, while the suspension has been retuned to provide a more comfortable ride and sharper handling. The car also comes with larger brakes and upgraded tires, providing improved stopping power and grip.

One of the most significant changes to the new Supra GR is the addition of advanced driver assistance features. The car now comes with Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.5 suite of features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. The car also features a new 8.8-inch touchscreen display, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2023 Supra GR will be available in two trim levels: the base 3.0 and the more performance-oriented 3.0 Premium. The base model will start at $43,190, while the 3.0 Premium will start at $51,090. Both models are set to arrive in dealerships later this year.

Overall, the 2023 Toyota Supra GR represents a significant improvement over the previous model, with a more powerful engine, refined handling, and advanced driver assistance features. Fans of the iconic sports car will undoubtedly be excited to see the latest iteration hit the road.
